Formed in New York in 1982, Special EFX was fundamentally a pas de deux comprised of guitarist Chieli Minucci and Hungarian-born drummer/percussionist George Jinda; debuting in 1985 with the record album Modern Manners, they often recruited other musicians to help pulp out their state of the prowess sound, among them Dave Grusin, Omar Hakim, and McCoy Tyner. Mcg - Bernero To Remake Hawaii Five-o
CRIMINAL MINDS producer ED BERNERO is set to revive cult 1970s show HAWAII FIVE-O.
The original show came off air in 1980 after a 12-year draw and starred Jack Lord as Detective Steve MCGarrett.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new show will revolve around MCGarrett's son Chris.
The raw version - dubbed Hawaii Five-O 2.0 - will be shot on location in Hawaii.
Bernero says, "We will prove to stay fresh as a great deal of the original as possible. I'm not trying to reinvent it."
